The best laid plans...
At first glance, it would seem this summer isn’t as ambitious as previous summers. And, to be honest, I would agree. Here we have a straightforward case of flying to Lima, Peru, then to Cuzco, Peru, joining a GAP Adventures tour group, hiking for four days, enjoying the ruins of Machu Picchu, riding a train back to Cuzco, and finally returning home. It’s plain and simple, at least in theory. We’ll see how it goes.
After we return, mom and dad are hauling us and our bikes to Yuma, Arizona where we will depart for a month long excursion into Baja California and across the interior of Mexico, arriving in Port Mansfield, Texas sometime in July. Then we ride north into New Mexico to finish our summer. Wish us luck!
