Howdy all! We're coming to you from the town of Liberal, Kansas. Although, I doubt the veracity of that claim.

We left the town of Alva, Oklahoma, traveling west on gravel roads. The skies were cloudy and the temperature was

cool enough that we wanted long sleeves. The land was rolling praire for the first 50 miles, after which, the land changed to flat farm land. Roads straightened out and we were able to travel over 40 miles an hour.

Wheat fields were to be the order of the day. Since roads were straight, and we were ablet to move fast, we arrived in Liberal fairly early in the afternoon. It was good that we arrived early since temperatures were to push 100 degrees.

Tomorrow is a big day. We plan on arriving in Trinidad, CO and finally seeing the Rocky Mountains. We also plan on taking the next day off for some R&R and for bike maintenance.
