Are You Ready for the Country?

“Are you ready for the Country?
Are you ready for me?
Are you ready for the Country?
Ain’t that a sight to see?”

Trans-America Volume II

Welcome!!!  We’re at it again.  This time, though, our plans have changed.

When our crossing of the U.S. ended  abruptly at Hurricane Pass, in Colorado, we weren’t sure we would come back and try again.  As time passed though, we knew we wanted to finish what we started.  So, six months in the planning have brought us to the starting point once again.

So, a few suggestions for navigating this website.

First, if you’re not familiar with the Trans-America Trail, in general, or our travels on it, check out the TAT website and our personal TAT travel website, to get caught up to speed.  I’m sure last years trip will get mentioned extensively.  So, if you find yourself saying, “what are they talking about?”  You’ll know.

Second, the web page will be different this year, in several aspects, than last.  Mainly, the amount of information preceding departure will be less.  Preparation hasn’t been as extensive as last year, since we own most the necessary equipment.  Although, several improvements have been added or equipment modified for greater comfort or usability.  For sure, there will be an account of these, but not nearly the amount of last year.

Also, the page layout is different.  I’m trying a new program that will(hopefully) make updates an easier endeavor.  We’ll see how it goes!  Instead of a left column, links will be at the top of each page.  I’ll do my best to also put links within the page themselves so you won’t have to scroll to the top.

At the moment, those are all the differences I can think of, in terms of the website.

The differences in our trip from last year are many.  To see those differences, click here.

When we start, there will be daily updates.  So stay tuned!

Welcome, and enjoy!
